Plant Nutrition:

Magnesium is a medium nutrient element required for normal growth and development of plants. It is related to the physiological response of plants and the development of cell tissue structure. It is the main mineral element of chlorophyll, which directly affects the photosynthesis of plants and the synthesis of sugar and protein. It is very important in the process of plant growth.

Deficiency:

If the magnesium concentration is too low, the chlorophyll synthesis will be blocked, and finally the leaves will be green. The symptoms are as follows: at first, the edge of the leaf begins to wither and the center of the leaf with more veins remains green, which can cause the leaf to fall off in severe cases, and eventually lead to the death of the whole plant. Crops lack magnesium, chlorophyll reduction, photosynthesis is weakened, carbohydrate metabolism is blocked, growth is affected. Magnesium also participates in the formation of fat, leguminous crops lack of magnesium, seed oil content decreased. According to chemical determination, the content of magnesium in crops with more phosphorus is also higher, indicating that magnesium can promote the absorption of phosphorus. Crops that need more phosphorus also need more magnesium.

Apple in magnesium deficiency fruit can not be normal maturity, fruit small, color, lack of flavor. Peach saplings are not easy to winter under the condition of magnesium deficiency. Soybeans will mature ahead of time when magnesium deficiency occurs, and the yield is not high. When citrus lacks magnesium, a large number of fallen leaves and dead shoots will appear after the end of autumn, which will affect the normal growth of citrus and the results of the following year, and reduce the fruit quality and yield.
